The first ever interactive Big Screen showcase of films produced Croxteth, Norris Green, and Fazakerley residents took place on Saturday, in an exciting partnership between Alt Valley Vision, parent organisation ICDC, and the BBC.

Visitors to the city centre were able to select which film to watch by interacting with a hi-tech camera on top of the Big Screen, which has been programmed by researchers at ICDC to detect motion amongst the audience.
Visitors could choose from a range of the best films created by Alt Valley residents since the launch of the Alt Valley Vision project in 2007.
Despite some teething problems, the launch of the innovative new application took place as planned, and shoppers and tourists were treated to shows throughout the afternoon.
We'll post a short video about the event on the site next week.
Further developments are scheduled to improve the application ahead of further Big Screen events.
Look out for the next Alt Valley Vision Big Screen showcase on Saturday 26th April.

With special thanks to Andrew Hooper and Dave Griffiths at ICDC and Bren O'Callaghan at the BBC.
