About Fazakerley

Fazakerley may be a rather exotic-sounding name for a Liverpool ward, but it actually Anglo-Saxon. The name is derived from three words combined, namely a description of the area; border - field - woods.

Today Fazakerley covers 1709 acres and has a population of over 16,000 people.

Notable features are the Hospital (confusing called University Hospital Aintree) a Sports centre, and ample pubs and bars.
