Croxteth is home to Croxteth Hall and Country Park, the former home of the Earls of Sefton, bordering the affluent village of West Derby. Both areas predate Liverpool and are mentioned in the Domesday book. Wayne Rooney and Francis Jeffers, both notable Everton FC alumni, were from Croxteth and attended De La Salle School. Today, Croxteth is home to a number of innovative community initiatives such as the Skills Centre and The Communiversity.

Fazakerley may be a rather exotic-sounding name for a Liverpool ward, but it's actually Anglo-Saxon. The name is derived from three words combined, namely a description of the area; border - field - woods. Today, Fazakerley covers 1,709 acres and has a population of over 16,000 people. Notable features are the Fazakerley Community Federation, Hospital (confusingly called University Hospital Aintree) a Sports Centre, and ample pubs and bars.

The Norris Green estate was built on land given to Liverpool City Council in the 1920's by Lord Derby, on the provision that no pubs were built on the land. Sadly even to this day, there still aren't any on the estate! Joe Royle, Steve Coppell and Echo & the Bunnymen's Ian McCulloch are from Norris Green. An area of Norris Green known as the Boot Estate is being extensvely redeveloped with new build housing next to the Ellergreen Sports Centre. Local organisations include Christ Church Community Centre and St Teresa's RC Junior School.
