AVCM, is setting up an innovative community broadcasting project commencing in April this year.
Valley FM will run for eight days led by volunteers and local people covering common areas such as housing, council services, community safety and life in general; all of the programmes will be presented live from a purpose built studio in Croxteth and presenters aged from 8 to 80 will be hosting the shows, playing music and interviewing guests.
Valley FM wants to use a visionary way of getting the message across, we will use podcasts, internet streaming and the sharing of shows on usb sticks, this means that shows can be uploaded anytime a listener wants on the internet.
Alt Valley Community Media want to bridge the digital divide in our community which covers most of north east Liverpool including Norris Green, Croxteth, Fazakerley and Walton.
Members of the Alt Valley area are being asked to help out, we need you to get involved, all of the training is free and this is an ideal opportunity for someone to run their own two hour radio show and is an opportunity for our community to come together.

Alt Valley Community Media (AVCM) is an established constituted Community Group which has as our main aim the development of low cost, affordable community media work in the Alt Valley area.
AVCM have been creating new and exciting media projects and are available to work collaboratively with local service providers and businesses.
