Alt Valley Vision is a new community media partnership between the International Centre for Digital Content at Liverpool John Moores University, the Alt Valley Community Trust, and the Alt Valley Neighbourhood Management Team.
The International Centre for Digital Content is a part of Liverpool John Moores University. ICDC’s principal aim is to find new ways of using digital technology that will help organisations to develop and grow. Focusing on the regeneration of Merseyside and the North West, ICDC helps businesses and other organisations to understand how digital technology can benefit them.
ICDC works with these organisations to apply technology in practical and effective ways. Whether you are in need of business support, advice on developing your ideas, training, or a partner to research and develop your product, ICDC can support you and help your organisation to succeed. The Alt Valley Vision partnership is based at the Communiversity in Croxteth, which is part of the Alt Valley Community Trust.The Trust, through and educational alliance, aims to provide a voice for communities through the delivery of life-long learning in the area. Neighbourhood Management Services (NMS) is Liverpool City Council’s new way to deliver services at a local level. It lets residents get easy access to services tailored to the needs of the local area. This is done through a community based team.
A key priority for the Alt Valley Neighbourhood Service team is the development and implementation of the Neighbourhood Delivery Plan. Detailed action will be worked through four strategic issue groups. They concentrate on Crime and Community Safety; Health and Equalities; Housing and Environment; and Employment and Lifelong Learning.
